No words can describe how AMAZING these sculptures are. To the point where all you can do is stare at them and get lost in your own ideas and thoughts of what you would do if you were inside one of them.
Inspired by Islamic architecture, Archimedean solids and Gothic cathedrals, these pieces of art are far beyond what can be considered contemporary and new age art…. This is new dimension art!
Created by Alan Parkinson and currently celebrating their 20th year anniversary, the Architects of Air have introduced people worldwide to these oddly shaped creations that illuminate light from multiple angles and dimensions. And what I find so fascinating about these sculptures is that I can really see the Moorish architectural influences within these sculptures. They are like Middle Eastern/Mediterranean temples of the new millennium.
Currently on tour in Lille, France, where they are exhibiting their Mirazozo structure, they will continue to tour into 2013 in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. You can check out their website for specific dates and more photos.
Just beautiful.
