With the recent events that took place this past weekend, September 29, 2012, at the annual BET Hip-Hop Awards, many people are asking; why is Hip-Hop becoming so destructive and how many more “beefs” must these rappers create and/or take part consciously continuing this ongoing negative cycle?
Rappers Rick Ross and Young Jeezy and their prospective camps, whom attended this award show, got into a fight backstage. Thus leading to several other confrontations that unfolded throughout the night. And personally, hearing about these type of things gets so old to the point where tension and hostility has become an accepted factor in Rap culture; and we accept it.
Well, The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan of The Nation of Islam during an interview spoke about this very topic concerning, beefs, the creation of Hip-Hop, African American culture in America and how many of the downfalls within our community have been profited from by many established corporations and institutions.
And how ironic is it that the question that Minister Farrakhan is replying to in this video was sent in by a former well known drug lord, Big Meech, whom Rick Ross wrote a song about, comparing himself to? Well, I’ll be…..
